Subject: Abducting Dr. Kamal Said Qadir
Dear Sir/Madam
We would like to inform you that Dr. Kamal Said
Qadir،
who currently an Austrian Citizenship and originally
from Kurdish Background. He had written some essays
on Mr. Massud Barzani،
the Kurdistan Regional President and he had
published them in Kurdish websites.
He returned to Kurdistan (Iraqi Kurdistan) in the
mid of October 2005،
to present the issue against Mr. Barzani in the
civil court. However،
since 25 October 2005،
he was apparently abducted،
by the intelligence forces belong to the Kurdistan
Democratic Party (KDP) . No news of his whereabouts،
at all.
We want to express serious concern for the safety of
Dr. Kamal Said Qadir and urging
you to act swiftly to ensure that the legal and
physical rights of Dr. Kamal are upheld?
As well as putting a pressure on the KDP to
find and make public the whereabouts of Dr. Kamal
and free him immediately at first stage،
and then solve the dispute between Mr. Barzani
family and Dr. kamal Said Qadir in the civil court
publicly.
